Former Executive Director – Foods and Refreshments at Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL), Sudhir Sitapathi has been named as the Managing Director & CEO of Godrej Consumer Products Ltd (GCPL).
Sitapathi’s appointment will be effective from October 18, 2021, while Nisaba Godrej, who is currently the Chairperson and Managing Director, will serve as Executive Chairperson of GCPL.
According to reports, a regulatory filing by Godrej Consumer Products stated, “The Board of Directors at its meeting held today, appointed Sudhir Sitapati as the Managing Director & CEO of the company for a period of five years with effect from October 18, 2021, subject to the approval of the shareholders in the ensuing Annual General Meeting.”
Sitapati recently stepped down from his position at Hindustan Unilever Limited after 22 years with the company.
