Vignesh Vellore is the Founder and CEO of The News Minute, a Bangalore-based independent news and media website which covers news from India with a special focus on the South.

He has a Bachelor of Business degree in International Business from the Queensland University of Technology.

Vellore founded the digital news platform in 2014 along with Chitra Subramaniam, former Editor of The Hindu and Dhanya Rajendran, former Times Now South India Bureau Chief.

Apart from Karnataka, The News Minute also has bureaus in the states of Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

According to Vellore, The News Minute aims to make use of the User interface to keep the audience more engaged with the content they publish.
