Aftab Asghar, Film Director, Stride Films, is passionate about storytelling and began his professional career as an intern with the global advertising agency network, McCann Erikson, India.
He has worked as an assistant to pioneer ad filmmaker Prahlad Kakkar and then worked for Footcandle films.
Asghar has a Masters of Arts degree in Cinema and Media Studies and proceeded to work in a fast, upscale storytelling environment in Mumbai.
His New York-based film production company, Stride Films has produced films such as Unfreedom, a contemporary thriller about a society torn apart by political, religious, and sexual turmoil set in New York and New Delhi.
He has also edited and produced feature films such as Code Name Abdul, Where are you Sophia?, Margaret, The Brief-Case, Batter Up, Love Lies, and Seeta.
Asghar has also worked in commercials and music videos for Walt Disney, Sony, Cossette Communications, Devito Verdi and MTV.
